en Paris!
Just a quick note to say I have arrived in Paris and love it
I am not so quixotic as to say it has no faults, for it certainly does, but it is lovely as well. Living with my host family is going well; which is definitely a plus! My French is hopefully improving
Love the pain and chocolat (especially together!!).
It has been nicer than it was in England, but hardly the late summer temperatures I am used to in Washington!! Spring is going to be amazing
I haven’t done a whole lot of touristy things yet…apart from walking around. However tonight I plan to make a list so that I don’t miss anything. One thing I have loved is being settled and not having to worry about moving around and all that.
Obviously I have had further thoughts on life the universe and everything, but I feel guilty for tying up the computer…and it takes a little longer to type because so many of the letters and punctuation have been rearranged on the keyboard. Next time I post, I’ll probably give it a little forethought

Hi Allison, I saw your mom today at the library. I am so amazed at your adventurous spirit! Gary, Ruthie and I will be in France in October. My brother and sister in law have a house in a little village in southern France, called Cairanne. I will be there from Oct. 11 to about the 25th. After that Ruthie will continue her travels for a few more weeks. Her plans are to tour Paris and stay mostly in youth hostels. I am going to share your blog with her. Its good to hear that you managed to get along ok in French. Mine is very rusty, and Ruthie’s is negligable. Oh well! I like your advice – Don’t Panic!

Alli – I got your postcard a little while back. Thanks!
Glad you’re having such a good time and getting to experience all sorts of awesome things.
