About the Webpage

The header photos, found via Google, are respectively of England and Paris (links take you to the pages where I found the images).

I like to make reference to books/movies/music/tv.  To make this more interesting for you, maybe I’ll buy something small & cheesy and whoever finds the most references wins it lol.  More info on this if it actually happens.

Contact Me

- Comment! :)

- Email…adauer09 [at] gmail [dot] com (I’ll also routinely checking my other gmail address and the Whitworth email if you have one of those in your address book)

- Snail Mail… I’ll be moving a lot, and when you combine that with the time it takes for mail to travel, it doesn’t make for as great an idea as email.  Pretty much the only people I’m giving my addresses are my family – so they know where I am – and the auditor – so she can send me a ballot :) .  If you feel passionately moved to send me a card, email me…or my parents if you really want to be secretive about it.  However! Keep in mind that I have to bring everything back home, so no packages s’il vous plait.

- Phone…I will have a cell phone, and incoming calls for me are free for the first 30 minutes. However, be aware that you will incur international charges because my number is a UK number.  Also, I have free incoming texts, but it costs over $.50 for me to text.  I don’t know if there’s an international texting fee in the US.  If you do text, I will be delighted, but probably not reply.
Please email me if you would like my phone number.

Who are you?

I expect the majority of my visitors to know who I am, but if found me from a link or simply forgot what this is, this is what you need to know. :)

My name is Allison Dauer; I’m spending four months in Europe.  This is my first true solo expedition across the seas…the only other time I’ve had to use my passport was in 2004 when I went with my youth group on a mission trip to Kenya.  I loved the travelling I’ve done so far, which has included a somewhat diverse experience of the United States (WA, OR, CA, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, MN, IL, KS, CO, FL, SC, NC, MD, PA, WV, DC, AK, HI) and Victoria, BC.  Writing and photography are two of my passions, so here’s to hoping this blog is rich with both, but no guarantees as readers of past blogs will not remember me for my consistency.  There will be a great many photos taken on this adventure, but I can’t anticipate always having internet access, so you might have to wait until I get back to see much truly representative of my experiences.  Oh, and I like getting mail…so fill up that inbox for me, would you? :)
